I was born in Bromley in the Garden of England of Kent in the late fifties.
I began drawing and painting before I could write, my subjects as I grew up were always of animals and especially Dogs.
I did not have the normal rout open to me as an Artist, but focused my talents into developing my own style and technique. I turned professional in 1981 and continued to demonstrate my work at Country shows and Game Fairs.

During this period I Illustrated a small book on my beloved gundogs, edited by Tony Jackson . This collaboration continued with many instances of us working together successfully. I won Debretts 'Sporting Artist ' of the year and The Natural World selection to the Society of Wild life Artists annual exhibition at The Mall Galleries in London. Unfortunately my life took an unexpected turn and I had to put my Artistic career on hold till the present due to family commitments

Welcome to The Artist UK.
Many years ago, when I was very young, I would often be asked if I was 'The Artist' as I sat and drew and painted. This continued when I started to exhibit and demonstrate my skills at Country Fairs and Events. It is difficult not to smile, when the evidence of the reply is on my lap and created with my own hands. So the name I use is 'The Artist', not from any sense of vanity, but from repetition and self evident to my patrons.

I am happy to paint and draw to commission. I can offer simple pencil portrait on A3 cartridge paper for £100.00 for one head study.
£200.00 for a single full body.

My watercolour paintings start at £500.00 for a single head and shoulders study,regardless of the subject.

However, my prices from then on are as flexible as your imagination. I must maintain the subject and technique content as this is dictated by artistic interpretation and inspiration.
